Wakefield Bulletin Board

A Yahoo Group, entitled the 'Wakefield Bulletin Board', has been started to help improve communication within our community. A Yahoo Group is a free mail sorter service. It provides a quick and easy way for group members to communicate with one another on-line. Community Jam!
The Seth Austen Music Workshops have become "Community Jam!" - still on Thursday nights in the Congregational Church Fellowship Hall from 7:00–8:15 p.m. Please bring your musical instruments and join us for a time of playing traditional tunes from Celtic, Appalachian, New England and other sources! The sessions are beginner friendly. We hope that Seth will return to lead us in the fall, but in the meantime why don't you join in on the fun and stop in?

Gain flexibility, strength, wellness and fitness for beginners to advanced levels. We have a great group, who not only exercise but also take road/bus trips and educational nutrition classes and we would like all of area citizens to join us.  Cost is $4.00 per class - First class is FREE!

Brookfield Bloomers Club
The Brookfield Bloomers Garden Club 2009 meets at the Town House on Route 109 in Brookfield. Refreshments will be served starting at 6:30 p.m., and the evening's program will start at 7:00 p.m. Membership information can be obtained by calling Lois at 522-8972 or Sue at 522-3802.

Friends of the Library

Independence Day
The second annual Independence Day Celebration. There will be games, karaoke, music, a petting zoo and lots of food!! Not to mention fireworks at dark. Parking is at a premium so please try to carpool. There is no admission fee but donations will be accepted. The festivities begin at 5:00pm at Turntable Park.

Sanbornville Fireman's Association Monthly Dinner

The Community is welcome to attend the Fireman's Suppers that are sponsored by the Sanbornville Fireman's Association.  They hold a fund-raising dinner to benefit the Wakefield Fire and Rescue Department.  The Fireman's Suppers dinner is held the Third Saturday every month from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Wakefield Public Safety Building (please use back entrance).  Adults are $7 and children 12 and under are $3. Moose Mountain Area Democrats will hold their annual fund raiser, "Daylilies and Democrats," on from 5:00-7:00 pm at the home of Martha Pike.
